About Naupacte

Prior to founding Naupacte and dedicating himself to the development of a language for numerical modeling and simulation, Matthieu Halard was responsible for over six years of overhauling the finite element simulation toolchain at the Michelin Group Research Center. Previously, he worked at Simulog in Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines and at Sophia-Antipolis, as part of the mesh team that later became the Distène company, to develop mesh algorithms and improve code performance, as well as assisting users of the Modulef finite element library from INRIA.

Providing the user with automation in calculations with performance at the key, this is his guiding thread:

  • from the formula to the optimized execution of the calculations;
  • from multiphysics formulation to system building and solving;
  • from the formula to its derivation;
  • from multiphysics formulation to design optimization.

Matthieu Halard graduated from the Ecole Polytechnique and holds a DEA in numerical analysis from Paris VI and a PhD in applied mathematics from Paris IX dealing with shape optimization in non-linear elasticity.
